It’s a 10 Silk Express This first time I used this product I was transported to a sunny field full of beautiful fragrant jasmine flowers. This scent is so amazing that I was absolutely in love with this product the second it touched my hair. Unlike other shampoos the scent actually lasts in your hair! Oh my, the lather this shampoo creates is probably the nicest from any shampoo I’ve ever tried and trust me I’ve tried quite a few. 

This shampoo has the softest, silkiest, most velvety lather I have ever come across. So while in the shower I was absolutely head over heels for this product. However once I came out and let my hair dry I realized I gave none of the results it promised I most definitely did not get the “unbeatable softness” that this product is meant to give, nor did it leave my hair smoother, more manageable and touchable than my hair usually was. Imagine how upset I was when the product I loved so much while in the shower ended up being so blah and doing nothing great for my hair. This shampoo wasn’t even sulfate or paraben free so that I would continue to use it even though the results weren’t outstanding. I loved the scent so much that I really did try hard to love the product I continued to use if for two weeks in which I washed my hair about 6-7 times only and the bottle is already half empty. I don’t even have extremely long hair, heck its just medium length and yet I had to use a minimum of four pumps of shampoo for my hair. Overall this product has a hefty price tag just for the scent as it does nothing for my hair rather than make it smell good, even when I really tried to love it.

Why I found it interesting

Being interested in business as well as makeup, I found it extraordinary to see how altering the shape of a sponge has changed the beauty industry forever. The bright pink colour is truly eye catching and has drawn many like myself towards the product, once drawn in by the design it a definite purchase for all due to the curiosity it draws in many.

My Opinion

 A bright pink egg shape makeup sponge has swept into our hearts and replaced our need for makeup brushes. Unlike pesky brushes which sometimes give you a stripy application, the beauty blender get it right every time leaving you with a flawless, airbrush like finish. To me the beauty blender is the tool of choice to use on myself and other, being ideal for the makeup novice as well as the makeup connoisseur. However the sanitization process of the beauty blender can be overwhelming and using it from client to client may defy the first rule in the makeup artist code of conduct stating sanitization in priority. Even with the slight drawback to the product, it truly is one of a kind and is my makeup must-have; once you use it you will never be able to look at makeup brushes the same.

Schwarzkopf Got2b Powder’ful

I’m a girl who loves big hair and will go to any lengths to achieve it! When I saw this little cutie at walmart I knew I had to buy it if it could possibly be the answer to my prayers and give me the voluminous locks I’ve always dreamed of. The Schwarzkopf Got2b Powder’ful is rather small in size and contains 10g of product but since it is a powder the product seems to last forever. To use the powder you either sprinkle it directly on your roots or onto your hands and then rub into your roots. When this product touches skin it feels cold and provides you with a tingly sensation. I applied the product directly to my scalp and rub it into my root to spread the product evenly. You know how you hair feeling like after teasing? Like the big clumpy mess. Well this felt even worse than that! It felt like I have 30 pounds of goop in my hair and it was just horrible to touch. However it does do what it says it gave my hair a good amount of volume. The downfall of this product comes from its horrible texture in your hair which would lead to a lot of hair breakage when you brush out your hair. The product also left a slight white cast on my scalp which was rather unpleasant! Overall this product was okay, it gave my hair a nice amount of volume but failed due to it making my hair feel absolutely horrendous and it giving me a white cast on my scalp. I would not recommend this product to any one with darker hair colours whether they are fellow brunettes or red head or have black hair. I also would not recommend this product to anyone who is finicky about the texture of their hair. But if you are one that’s just dying for volume and doesn’t mind the funky texture or white cast, this product may be for you.

Big Sexy Hair - Root Pump Plus

               

Big Sexy Hair – Root Pump Plus humidity resistant volumizing spray mousse is by far one of the best volumizing mousse I have ever tried and I have tried quite a few! The one I have comes in is a huge red bottle containing 426 ml of product for $20.95. This doesn’t leave my hair crunchy at all which is surprising considering most volumizing mousses tend to do so. This white foam mousses feels cold on the scalp and absorbs into the follicle super-fast. To use the product I spray a good amount of mousse onto my hand then massage the product into my roots focusing on the crown of my head, I then  flip my hair downwards and blow dry my hair away from my scalp and boom your left with wonderful volume! Not only does your hair look bigger but it actually feels like you hair has magically become thicker! Using this mousse in my hair somehow makes the style last even longer instead of my curls lasting me two day they last three days when I use this mousse in my hair. I can’t vouch for the products humidity resistance claim as thankfully my hair doesn’t get too bad in humid conditions but for volumizing, this product is absolutely outstanding! The scent of the product is slightly prefumey and chemically but nothing too bad and the scent doesn’t linger in your hair. Overall I am beyond ready to tie the knot with this product and call it the best volumizing mousse I have every tried! However I will still never stop trying more volumizing products as a little volume isn’t enough!

About My Hair!

I have medium to long hair, they are long from the back but I have short layers so from the front my hair doesn’t look that long. My scalp is extremely oily and needs to be washed on a daily basis so dry shampoos are my BFF’s. I have problem with split end and dry and damaged ends but I’m working on them! I heat style my hair at least thrice a week so that has really damaged my hair. My hair is a darker brunette and I have lighter brunette highlights in it but those are wearing out now. Texture wise my hair is quite soft and has a lot of luster to it. My hair isn’t hard to style and it holds curl better than it holds straightened hair. My hair has a bit of volume to it but I love volume so I try to always make it bigger. And that’s all you need to know about my hair!
